Look who's three...

Our sweet boy... you're finally three!  We have been talking about your big birthday now for weeks!  Wondering how much you would understand about the significance of this wonderful day in our lives, and to our surprise you were very aware of the fact that on your birthday you were born.  We talked about how mommy and daddy were able to finally hold you and see you in the flesh for the very first time ever!  And during our account of your birth story you just cuddled in my lap and melted my heart...  Jonah my sweet love we recognize that you are in our lives because we are blessed! Blessed by God who loves us so much to be faithful to us in ways that only He could be... He continues to be the unfailing love in our lives.  As God continues to pen your life story we see how God is working in and through your life.  We are so grateful to be apart of this journey and excited to see His plans for you, our promise...

Turning three?

I must say tonight is filled with so many emotions...  Tonight as I put you to bed, I was coming to the realization that tonight would be the last time I was going to kiss my two year old little boy... Along with many more "last"...  Reminds me of this night three years ago.  Emotions flooded me as I knew that in a few short hours our lives would forever be changed...  My sweet Jonah, it's seems as though yesterday I was looking into your eyes for the first time...  All wrapped up and brand new, a moment that will forever be etched within my heart.

I held you tonight as you fell asleep in my arms and all I could see was my precious baby boy...  Regardless of how old you are, you will always be my baby boy.  Jonah you are such a blessing and you bring so much joy to our lives.  We are forever grateful to our Heavenly Father for your life.  Thankful for the truth that brought us to the place where we could look to Him and trust for your creation...  Even though my flesh desire for time to slow down I am fully aware that God has plans for you... and time has been put in motion for His purpose.  So as time will not slow down, I will be sure and cherish you in the little and big things... I will take time to play animals, I will take time to stop and wrap you in my arms as cleaning the house can wait, I will take time to read you stories, I will take time to rock you...

Jonah my love...

Sweet boy!  Your getting bigger with each day... Your laughter is contagious, your eyes see wonder in so many things, and your emotion for things you love excites me... I'm not sure when I felt you passed that point of needing "monthly" updates, but upon reflection I've realized that I desperately want to capture the everyday moments that make up our everyday lives...  So from this point on, I'm making myself a promise to do so.

My sweet Jonah...  words can not cover you with the joy that you bring to my life.  God is so wonderful in all His glory... how He's allowing me to experience so much in my life just because of you.  My sweet boy you are the dove that brings proof of what we can not see, however we know that so much is beyond what we see today with our physical eyes.  Thankful that our eyes have been opened to much life because of you.  Love our journey together ~ Mommy

Thoughts from my heart....

The sweet words "night night mommy" from my precious boy spoken every night like clock work, then the sweet kisses left ever so gently on my cheek...
The smell of my baby girl, wrapped in pink, her breath on my chest... thank you God...
The ever so small wet footprints left behind on the bath mat, hours after bath time...
Sneaking in bed while Jonah sleeps, just to hold him close and whisper dreams into his ears...
I love looking into the face of our children, so full of life and wonder... they are so quick to express such raw emotion... reminding me that my Father has asked me to look at Him in this manner.  Father I am honored to be the mother you have called me to be.  Thank you for the love that floods my heart, the memories that will forever be with me... I look to you and my hearts cries praises to you, your beauty is unfolding before me, I am forever grateful!

Kiyah Month Five

My sweet girl...  I am amazed with each day.  You bring so much joy and wonder into my life, my daughter, amazing gift from God!  Love watching you learn and explore the word around you...

First Family Vacation of Four!

Well, we now know it can be done!  Mom and Dad + Jonah and Kiyah...  Not that we went across the country or anything, but we felt very accomplished driving 3 hours with no major issues :)  We went to Gatlinburg for a visit to the aquarium.   We had a great time, lots of fun memories made!  It was a great way getting our feet wet for the years of fun family vacations to come...  Love our babies xoxo

Kiyah Month Four

Four months already.... Our sweet baby girl, your growing so wonderfully, you certainly are a masterpiece created by God!  Love watching you grow in every way...

The Big Swim

Jonah loves spending time in the pool, but this year he has a sister to join him!  Kiyah seemed to actually enjoy spending time in the pool with her big brother and daddy...  Love making such sweet memories...  Looks like I have two water babies on my hands!

Kiyah Month Three

Well you certainly have been a busy little girl!  So many new things this month... Your growing and evolving everyday into the beautiful little girl God created you to be.... Kiyah you are living in the blessing of the Lord!

Happy Daddy's Day!

Such fun to celebrate Dad!  Jonah and Kiyah are truly blessed to have such a wonderful Daddy...  Had a wonderful breakfast, made by Mommy.  Jonah refereed to the the whip cream topping on his waffle as "ice-cream" so needles to say he ate them all up!  I am so thankful to be in the Blessing of the Lord....  I love seeing how our children have changed Robert into the man he has become.  He has such love and devotion to Jonah and Kiyah...  Looking forward to watching him make memories with our blessings...

Daddy Brings Home a Turtle!

Daddy had been keeping his eyes open in hopes of surprising Jonah with a turtle....  and if finally paid off! Jonah was very excited that in his very own back yard was a turtle!  We then explained to Jonah that we were going to take the turtle to his new home down by the lake....  Our neighbors, Amy & Marc were kind enough to allow us to romp through their back yard down to the lake to set Mr. Turtle free.  Jonah did very well, that was until he wanted to find a pelican...  many tears later, Jonah understood that pelican's lived near the ocean, and not the lake.....  however we did take a later walk to the lake and saw a stork!  So all in all he was pretty happy with all the wildlife we witnessed today.

Kiyah Month Two

My oh my how you are growing!  Getting bigger with each day, and mommy and daddy love watching you grow...
